Attorney M. Catelyn Viggiano

Attorney M. Catelyn ViggianoCatelyn Viggiano is an attorney at Keating Law Offices, P.C. who is committed to representing victims of accidents involving personal injury and wrongful death. Catelyn began working at the firm soon after graduating from law school. Catelyn practices personal injury law, including cases involving bicycle collisions, motor vehicle negligence, nursing home negligence and wrongful death.

Catelyn is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in the State of Florida. She is an active member in the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and American Association for Justice. Catelyn recently received the William J. Harte Amicus Volunteer Award for her work on a “friend of the court brief” to the Illinois Supreme Court on behalf of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. She also was named an “Emerging Lawyer” by Law Bulleting Publishing, a prestigious award only given to a small number of lawyers under the age of forty.

Catelyn attended law school at the University of Illinois - Chicago School of Law, where she excelled. She received awards for the highest grade in both the Illinois Civil Procedure class and the Illinois Civil Motion Practice class. These skills immediately transitioned into Catelyn’s work as an attorney where she can litigate in the courtrooms on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Prior to law school, Catelyn was a four-year varsity letter winner at Elmhurst College in soccer. Catelyn also worked for the Illinois House of Representatives for two years in both a district office and in the state capitol. While in Springfield, she managed the following legislative committees: Human Services, Health Care Availability and Accessibility, Disability Services and Appropriation Human Services. This familiarity with the inner workings of Illinois politics has enabled her to understand the specifics of Illinois laws and how they impact her clients and their cases.

Catelyn is committed to making a difference in the lives of others. She chose to pursue a legal career in injury litigation based on her legislative involvement in Springfield and her own personal experience of sustaining an injury as a result of another’s negligence. Catelyn is committed to making the legal process more accessible to victims of personal injury and determined to provide the representation she never received. This unique perspective and life experience give Catelyn great clarity on how she conducts herself as an attorney. Catelyn’s dedication, attention to detail and dynamic ability combine to make her an excellent addition to Keating Law Offices, P.C.

Catelyn lives in Chicago with her husband.
