Attorney Michael S. Keating

Michael Keating has been repeatedly named to the annual Super Lawyers list, an honor limited to the top 5 percent of attorneys in the state. Prior to that, he was a repeat recipient of Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” honor. He has also repeatedly been named to The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Trial Lawyers list and its “Top 40 Under 40” list. Michael is a repeat recipient of the “Leading Lawyer” award by Law Bulletin Publishing, a distinction reserved for attorneys identified by their peers as among the best in their field, following an earlier “Emerging Lawyer” designation from the same organization. He received the William J. Harte Amicus Volunteer Award from the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association for his work filing friend-of-the-court briefs on behalf of injured Illinois residents. Michael Keating holds a perfect 10.0 rating on Avvo, and the firm has a perfect 5* rating on Google.

Beyond legal recognition, Michael serves as a Chair of the Transportation Committee and sits on the Board of Managers for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He was also the longtime Chair of the Bicycle Litigation Committee for the American Association for Justice. Michael’s advocacy and legal commentary have been featured on NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS, as well as in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

Attorney M. Catelyn Viggiano

Catelyn Viggiano is the recipient of numerous awards. Catelyn has been named an “Emerging Lawyer” by Law Bulletin Publishing, an honor given to a select number of attorneys under the age of 40 every year since 2018. Catelyn was also selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars every year since 2020.

Catelyn also received the William J. Harte Amicus Volunteer Award from the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association for her work on a friend-of-the-court brief submitted to the Illinois Supreme Court. In law school, Catelyn received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in both Illinois Civil Procedure and Illinois Civil Motion Practice, an honor given to the student with the highest grade in each course. Catelyn also served on the Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Honors Board and Council.

Attorney Christopher C. Cortese

Christopher Cortese was selected to Super Lawyers for 2026 and 2027 and, prior to that, was a repeat recipient of the Rising Stars designation. Chris has recovered significant results for injured clients throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, including a $10.8 million Cook County jury verdict on behalf of a woman assaulted as a result of inadequate building security, and $1.03 million on behalf of union tradesmen injured on construction sites. His work representing plumbers, pipefitters, ironworkers, and other tradesmen draws on his own experience working as a plumber’s apprentice on Chicago high-rise construction sites during high school and college
